Members at Gunuma Lodge

Gunuma Lodge is a members’ ski club, run by members for the benefit of members and their guests.
We are not a commercial lodge, the experience here is built on everyone contributing to the running of the lodge and showing respect for fellow members, guests, and the facilities.

Being a member means

  • Booking privileges and rates as outlined in our Booking Information page
  • The opportunity to enjoy a unique, communal lodge environment in both winter and summer
  • Sharing in the running of the lodge through allocated chores during your stay
  • Helping maintain the friendly, cooperative culture that makes Gunuma special

Membership responsibilities

  • Complete your allocated chore during your stay, even if you are only here for a short visit
  • Treat the lodge and contents with care – leave it cleaner than you found it
  • Show courtesy in a communal environment, particularly with noise and shared spaces
  • Support the Winter House Manager or House Captain in keeping the lodge safe, clean and welcoming

Membership types

  • Winter Member – Full booking privileges year-round, voting rights, eligible to serve on the Committee
  • Summer Member –
    • Same booking rates and conditions as Full Members in summer.
    • Winter bookings available from Booking Round 4 at the Guest accommodation rate.
    • No guests permitted in winter bookings.
    • No voting rights and cannot serve on the Committee (though a Summer Member representative may be appointed).
    • Full details of rates and booking conditions are available on the Tariffs page.
    • Summer Membership does not guarantee Winter Membership. Summer Members may request to have their names added to the Winter Membership wait list.
  • Life Member – Awarded in recognition of outstanding service to the club

We are currently seeking applications for Summer Membership.

To apply, please contact the Membership Secretary for details on costs, joining requirements, and availability.

Winter Membership is at capacity, with a waitlist of more than 35 people. Preference is given to immediate family of current members.

All membership applications require sponsorship from two Full Members.
