Dear Gunuma Members,

The Committee would like to clarify what you should do in the event of a COVID outbreak impacting you prior to an upcoming stay at Gunuma.

Per the Gunuma Lodge COVID safe plan – Winter:

  • You are required to bring your own pillows, bedding and tea towels

An extract from NSW web site is below. The current advice is if you live in City of Sydney, Waverley, Randwick, Canada Bay, Inner West, Bayside, and Woollahra local government area do not come to Gunuma. If you have visited a venue of concern/hotspot (exposure site) do not come. The above will be enforced until NSW Heath amends its advice. If you have concerns regarding your own health, please consider your risks if you stay at Gunuma. The Committee has agreed to fully refund accommodation costs if you cancel due to COVID. Despite numerous communications regarding bringing your own pillows, bedding and tea towels, members and their guests are still arriving without these items. The Committee has shown flexibility to date and “loaned” these items with a cleaning fee. The logistics of getting the items to Jindabyne has proved impossible for the Winter House Manager.

Recognising the COVID risk, as of Saturday 26 June those that arrive without their own pillows, bedding and tea towels will not be permitted to stay at Gunuma.
