March has been good to Gunuma – there have been two workparties to start the much needed work needed to get the lodge ready for the winter season.

On the 18th/19th of March Peter and Sue Rodda, Jo Halank, and Emma Rees did a lodge inventory, identified what jobs needed doing, and what equipment and materials were required, as well as cleaning the kitchen.

On the 25th/26th of March a group of 16 members worked from Friday till Sunday on a massive list of tasks. Have a look at some of the photos below – lawn mowing, getting all the wood under the lodge before the rain set in, new plants planted while the rain poured, new bed lights for all rooms, f place fan replaced (no more clatter!) , bulbs replaced, kitchen scrubbed, shower curtains and all pillow slips washed .

So many essential tasks were completed, but there are still so many more.

Please consider coming to a workparty on one of the following dates:

  • 11th/12th April
  • 13th/14th May
  • 3rd/4th June

Contact Peter Rodda if you can come to any of these. Many hands make light work, and Gunuma looks and feels much happier already with the work done by these great members and comembers. Please help!
